Men's Braces, France, ca. 1860

Men's suspenders, ca. 1860, origin: France. The suspenders are heavily decorated and embroidered. Classic braces, such as these here, do not have clips, but leather rollers with which they are buttoned to the trousers. At the front, the buttons are located to the right and left of the fly, while fabric tabs with buttons protrude from the middle of the waistband at the back. The length can be adjusted using a buckle. In good condition. Minimal signs of age and wear. One leather drawstring has been replaced.
