Antique Bowler, France, ca. 1900

This French Bowler hat, lined with fine silk and marked with the maker’s stamp M.A.C.F., Qualité Supérieure, is preserved in very good condition with only minimal age‑appropriate wear. The Bowler—introduced in the mid‑19th century—became one of the most iconic felt hats of its era, known for its rounded hard‑felt crown, durability, and elegant practicality.
