Rare corset from 1855, worn under a crinoline dress from the 1850s. Made from black wool or jacquard with floral and zig-zag patterns. Small light green velvet border at the top. Front fastening with a double row of hooks and eyelets. In good condition, but some small repairable tears in the fabric and slight discolouration on the inside.

This antique piece is a wonderful example of 19th century fashion and craftsmanship. The corset was used to shape the female silhouette and emphasise a narrow waist. It also shows the influence of the Victorian aesthetic, which was characterised by elaborate embellishments and patterns. Such garments are rare today and therefore particularly valuable for collectors and historians. Despite its age, the corset is in remarkably good condition, reflecting its quality and careful care over the years. A few tears in the fabric that can be easily repaired. Without blouse and jewellery.

Chest: ~ 85 cm
Waist: ~ 62.5 cm
