Veil owned by Princess Nadeshda/Nadejda of Bulgaria (1899-1958). She married Albrecht Eugen Duke of Württemberg on January 24, 1924 in Bad Mergentheim/Germany. Her parents were Marie Louise von Bourbon-Parma (1870-1899), a half-sister of Empress Zita, and Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria (1861-1948). Nadeshda and Albrecht Eugen had five children: three sons and two daughters. One of the sons was Dr. Alexander Eugen Duke of Württemberg (1933-2024). We acquired the veil from his estate. The veil came from his mother's estate and was probably of great sentimental value to the family as it had been kept all these years.
The veil is made of tulle lace with a flower and leaf decoration. The veil is attached to a velvet ribbon. In very good condition.
Length: ~ 135 cm
