This Neuosier dinner plate from an imperial porcelain service for Kaiser Wilhelm II, dated 1908, is an exceptionally fine example of the craftsmanship of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin (KPM). Highly sought after by collectors of imperial German porcelain, KPM Berlin, and historic tableware, it represents one of the most elegant forms produced during the late Kaiserzeit.
Decorated in iron‑red, the plate features an exquisite Rococo cartouche with the Prussian eagle and the royal cipher “FR” (Friedrich Rex) beneath the crown — a direct reference to Frederick the Great and the enduring symbolism of the Prussian monarchy. Surrounding the central motif are colorful flower bouquets and a finely executed gilded vine‑leaf border, giving the piece a festive and highly representative character.
A notable highlight is the monogram “WR” (Wilhelm Rex), emphasizing the personal connection to Kaiser Wilhelm II and marking the plate as part of his imperial household service. The reverse bears the classic KPM marks: the underglaze blue sceptre and the red orb mark, both dated.
Measuring 24 cm in diameter and preserved in very good condition, this plate stands among the rare and distinguished objects from the imperial table service. Its combination of royal provenance, symbolic decoration, and masterful porcelain painting makes it a remarkable highlight for discerning collectors and museum‑level collections.
