The two hump pins / hobnails from Transylvania are exquisite pieces of jewelry made of metal and artfully decorated with green and red glass stones. These pins, which are about 7 cm long and each adorned with four red glass stones, were traditionally used to fasten ribbons and were an integral part of the extraordinary Transylvanian costume.
Their significance extended particularly to festive occasions, where they were worn proudly and reflected the cultural identity and artisanal wealth of the region. The meticulous workmanship and brilliant design bear witness to a long tradition of craftsmanship that was cultivated in Transylvania.
Thanks to their excellent preservation and eye-catching glass stone decorations, these hump pins remain a valuable testimony to the history and culture of Transylvania.
