This rare bowl from the KPM Berlin “Damascus Service” for Emperor Wilhelm II, dated 1906, originates from one of the most exclusive and representative porcelain services ever produced by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin (KPM). Commissioned by the Emperor and manufactured between 1903 and 1915, the Damascus Service was used at official receptions and state occasions, symbolizing imperial elegance, courtly protocol, and diplomatic prestige.

Today, the Damascus Service ranks among the rarest porcelain series of the German Empire. While individual plates occasionally appear on the art market, bowls and salad dishes such as this example are exceptionally scarce and highly sought after by collectors. Crafted from white‑glazed porcelain and preserved in very good condition, this bowl exemplifies the refined workmanship and ceremonial character of KPM’s imperial commissions.

The underside bears the authentic KPM Berlin marks—the underglaze blue scepter and the red orb mark—each with date inscriptions confirming its early 20th‑century origin. Measuring 21 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height, the piece is ideally suited for museum‑level display or a distinguished private collection.

Combining imperial provenance, artisanal quality, and historical significance, this bowl is a remarkable highlight for collectors of KPM porcelain, Imperial German tableware, and representative objects of German history.
