At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, women's fashion underwent dramatic changes. The ideal silhouette shifted from the hourglass shape of the Victorian era to the Edwardian "S-curve": a silhouette with a strongly defined bust. Women's underwear increasingly included items that explicitly shaped the bust. This applied not only to women's fashion, but also to children's fashion, as this rare garment demonstrates. Very well preserved. Very rare to find.
