This elegant black silk day dress, dating to 1904, is a refined example of early‑20th‑century Edwardian fashion. The dress is constructed as a two‑piece ensemble, consisting of a skirt and bodice. The skirt hooks into the bodice, a typical method of securing garments during the period. The bodice features the characteristic pigeon‑breast silhouette, a hallmark of 1900s dressmaking that helps confirm the dating.
