Typical Charleston dress from the golden years of the 20th century. The dress probably dates from the mid-1920s. The almost straight cut, the flapper style, the lavish embroidery and the sleeveless cut all point to this. The dress owes its slightly greenish hue to the subtle green fabric on which the embroidery is applied. In addition to glass pins and rhinestones, white beads have also been used to create an elaborate pattern. The dress closes at the hem with fringes made of glass pins. Good to very good condition. Minor loss of pearls. One seam on the shoulder appears to have been (poorly) repaired. This does not detract from the exclusivity of this dress. The decoration is not included.
