He became renowned for both fashionable couture and theatrical costume design. Among his most famous commissions were theatrical costumes for celebrated actress Adele Sandrock and equestrian garments associated with Empress Elisabeth of Austria. In 1905, Drecoll established his influential Paris salon, which further enhanced his international reputation.

Drecoll's designs were often regarded as innovative and forward-looking. Fashion historians frequently credit him with helping popularize the dramatic balloon sleeve in the early 1890s. Very Good Antique Condition

The exterior remains remarkably well preserved for a garment of this age. There are only two to three minor stains, several broken crochet threads, and a small seam opening at the chest closure.

The interior lining shows more noticeable wear and is best described as being in moderately good condition, reflecting age and use over more than a century.

Overall, the jacket presents beautifully and remains an outstanding example of early twentieth-century couture.
