Silk spencer from the Empire period, ca. 1805. Origin: France. Typically used for dresses with a high set waist. Delicate colors in the shade of lilac. Puffed sleeves lined on the inside with a gauze fabric. Bust lacing. Bustline, border at U-shaped bustline and border at sleeves are contrasting colors. Inside lined with cotton. Very well preserved. A discreet stain on the chest area. The decoration (incl. bodice) is not included.
