Elegant blouse made of Irish lace, ca. 1901. This lace was a particularly popular handicraft technique around 1900, known for its filigree and three-dimensional patterns. The technique differs from other types of lace as the individual motifs - flowers, leaves or tendrils - are crocheted separately and later assembled to form a complete work. Typical of Irish lace is the use of fine yarn and small crochet hooks, which makes the patterns appear particularly detailed and three-dimensional. Just like this blouse.

It is characterized by: high collar, long sleeves with a thin cotton fabric worked into them, a cuff at the waist and gauze lining still present in the sleeves (otherwise no longer there). In good condition. The jewelry is not included.

Chest: ~ 90 cm
