Rare dessert plate from the ‘S.M.Y. Hohenzollern’ for Kaiser Wilhelm II. White, glazed porcelain with a painted gold rim, the large coat of arms of Kaiser Wilhelm II in the centre with a surrounding chain of the Order of the Black Eagle and the imperial attendance standard on the side rim of the cup above the bandeau ’S.M.Y. Hohenzollern.’ Underglazed blue sceptre mark with date on the base and the red KPM imperial orb mark.
The large service was only used during the presence of Kaiser Wilhelm II on board. The S.M.Y. Hohenzollern served the German Emperor Wilhelm II as a state yacht for representative purposes from 1893 to 1918. The ship belonged to the Imperial Navy.
