This large, deep serving platter from the KPM Berlin “Damascus Service” for Emperor Wilhelm II, dated 1906, originates from one of the most exclusive and prestigious porcelain services produced by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin (KPM). Manufactured between 1903 and 1915 on imperial commission, the Damascus Service was reserved for official receptions, state occasions, and high‑level diplomatic events, embodying the ceremonial elegance of the German Empire.

Today, the Damascus Service is regarded as one of the rarest and most valuable porcelain series of the Kaiserzeit. While individual plates occasionally appear on the art market, large, deep serving platters such as this example are exceptionally scarce and highly sought after by collectors. Crafted from white‑glazed porcelain with refined execution and preserved in very good condition, this platter exemplifies the artistic and representational quality of KPM’s imperial production.

The underside bears the authentic KPM Berlin marks—the underglaze blue scepter and the red orb mark—each with date inscriptions confirming its early 20th‑century origin. Measuring 29.7 cm in diameter, the piece is ideally suited for museum‑level display or a distinguished private collection.

Uniting imperial provenance, artisanal craftsmanship, and historical significance, this serving platter is a remarkable highlight for collectors of KPM porcelain, Imperial German tableware, and representative objects of German history.
