This exquisite antique theatrical headdress comes from a German collection of stage jewelry and is a striking example of late 19th to early 20th-century costume design. Artistically crafted with remarkable detail, it features a hook fastener at the back and a detachable front belt section, which is elegantly suspended and secured by hidden hooks.

The belt portion, likely older than it appears, dates from circa 1890–1910, a period when actresses wore such elaborate pieces on stage in exotic roles, including characters like Salome. The design reflects the opulence and theatrical flair of Belle Époque performance fashion.

Crafted from yellow metal, the headdress is adorned with turquoise stones, colorful glass accents, and hanging pearls suspended from decorative chains, creating a dynamic and regal silhouette.

This rare piece is in very good to excellent condition, with all original components intact. Antique theatrical headdresses of this kind are extremely rare to find, and even rarer to see offered for sale, as most reside in private collections or museum archives.
