Antique Biedermeier Leather Gloves, ca. 1825

Rare suede gloves from the early Biedermeier period, ca. 1825. The antique gloves are very long and reach up to the upper arm. Both gloves have cream-colored (original) silk ribbons. These were used to fasten them to the upper arm. The gloves were probably worn with a dress with puffed sleeves. These Biedermeier gloves can occasionally be seen in portraits of elegant ladies from this period. Very fine hand-sewn work with yellow silk embroidery on the tops of the hands. Very good color and condition. Only slight patina of the period... Very rare to find. The decoration is not included.
