This large antique folding fan, dating to the late 19th century, is a refined example of historic European fashion accessories, combining naturalistic design with elegant craftsmanship. The guards and sticks are crafted in simulated bamboo, lending the fan a warm, organic aesthetic typical of Victorian exoticism. A bone-edged rivet and loop suspending a tassel add both decorative charm and functional grace.

The antique gold-colored mount is hand-painted with delicate flowers and butterflies, capturing the romantic motifs popular in late 1800s decorative arts. The reverse side is finished in plain silk, offering a soft contrast to the ornate front.

Measuring approx. 35 cm in guard length and 64 cm in width when opened, the fan is in very good to excellent condition, with its original detailing beautifully preserved. Please note: decorative items shown in some images are not included.

This rare Victorian bamboo-style fan is ideal for collectors of antique fans, hand-painted accessories, or museum-quality decorative objects, offering a graceful glimpse into the aesthetic elegance of 19th-century design.
