Gift frame from the Austrian imperial family.
High-quality frame with the imperial crown (confirmed by the Dorotheum expert). The frame could be made of silver, or just silver-plated (we have not found a hallmark; but not all silver items were hallmarked in this period).
Frame dimensions: ~ 40 x 29.5 cm
The frame contains an original cabinet card (special size) with Emperor Franz Josef of Austria. The photograph comes from the studio of Carl Pietzner (* April 9, 1853 in Wriezen, Prussia; † November 25, 1927 in Vienna-Penzing). He was an Austrian photographer.
