This beautifully embroidered ladies’ shawl from the late Rococo period is a refined example of 18th-century fashion accessories, specifically a fichu—a triangular muslin shawl traditionally worn over the shoulders and crossed at the chest. Fastened with a brooch, the fichu served both decorative and modesty purposes, gently veiling the décolleté of the elaborate gowns of the time.

Crafted from fine muslin, this piece features delicate embroidery and retains its graceful silhouette. The shawl is in very good to excellent condition, with its original textile structure beautifully preserved.

Dimensions: approx. 60 x 128 cm

This rare Rococo-era fichu is ideal for collectors of antique clothing, historical costume accessories, or 18th-century textile arts, offering a graceful glimpse into the sartorial elegance of the period.
