Skirt Lifter, late 1870s

A skirt lifter from the 1870s Victorian era. A round clip was used to attach the raised skirt to the belt. This protected it from dirt, dust or wetness. Very good condition. For me it is always a wonder that these small everyday items have survived 150 years.
