This unique and artfully composed antique bonnet, dating to the late 19th century, is a rare example of Victorian millinery craftsmanship, blending rich materials with imaginative detail. The bonnet features a harmonious combination of velvet chin straps and bow, cabochon flowers, cream fabric blossoms, glass beads, and decorative wire adorned with stars - a constellation of textures and finishes that evoke both elegance and whimsy.

The interior is lined with black silk, while the inner edge of the hood is trimmed in blue velvet, adding depth and contrast to the silhouette. The bonnet is in very well preserved condition, with only minor abrasion to the blue velvet sections, consistent with careful age and wear. Please note: decorative items shown in some images are not included.

This rare Victorian velvet and silk bonnet is ideal for collectors of antique headwear, historic fashion accessories, or museum-quality millinery, offering a vivid glimpse into the stylistic richness and material artistry of 19th-century European design.
