Umbrella handle and tip made of ivory, ca. 1860. Even 150 years ago, these elaborately carved handles were the most expensive part of umbrellas. They were kept - even after the silk of the umbrella broke. This handle shows a face on one side and two signs, each with the owner's monogram, on the other. There is also an umbrella tip - made from the same material. In very good condition and very nice for decorating.
