Lace Evening Fan ca. 1870 – Antique Fan in Duvelleroy Box

An elegant antique French fan ca. 1870, featuring a delicate black netted leaf trimmed with applied white lace edging designed with floral motifs. The fan is mounted on finely carved bone sticks and guards, each decorated with silver pins and small cross‑shaped cutouts that add refinement and visual interest. The fan is in very good condition for its age, with only a few pins missing - typical for a piece that has survived nearly 150 years.

This beautiful 19th‑century French fan comes in a Duvelleroy box from Paris and London, exactly as we found it. It remained in our private collection for many years, cherished both for its craftsmanship and its connection to the renowned Duvelleroy fan makers, celebrated suppliers of luxury fans throughout the Victorian and Belle Époque periods.
