A 1913 ivory colored silk charmeuse trained wedding gown adorned with duchesse bobbin lace. One piece in construction, its bodice has short net lace sleeves, over the shoulders, back and front covered with duchesse lace. Bodice has inner lining of white silk with extensive hook and eye back closure and with 6 fabric covered stays. Skirt has large pieces of duchesse lace at one side flowing into hem. Long silk satin weighted train extending downward on floor. Label found on inside petersham and reads Hope & Co., 665-671 Fifth Ave, New York. Inside bodice lining there is a sewn in museum catalog identification number fabric tag, as well as string tags. Deaccession from the Rochester Historical museum clothing collection, Rochester, N.Y.
In very good condition. The bodice is lined in a fine white silk in good condition, except around underarms, with shredding and discoloration stains. The skirt silk satin lining is very good. The decoration (incl. veil) is not included.
