Wow! Wow, one can only say here. That how can ever drape such a dress, we never thought. But now the time has come. Here we present a hunting ensemble that is unique. It was worn in England, around 1890, where hunting had and still has a long tradition. Not only men took part in driven hunts, but also ladies.

The dress is a two-piece consisting of skirt and top. The fabric is a red and blue imitation wool. The top has a tailored collar with wide lapels. The vest is made of red faux wool fabric, it has metal set buttons and red wool cuffs. Inside it is reinforced with corset stays and lined with cotton. The skirt falls in pleats at the back. Velvet trim at hem. Glazed cotton lining. Very well preserved. A few tiny holes; a none tear in the collar lining; minor wear marks on the lining. The ensemble also includes a black fan, chest insert, red bow tie, eyeglasses and cuffs. The dress is from the Valentine Museum in Richmond, Virginia.
